YOUR FILMING DEADLINE HAS NOW PASSED

YOUR FOOTAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOGGED TO THE MAC NETWORK, WITH CLIPS LABELLED AS YOU WERE TAUGHT LAST YEAR.
YOUR BLOGS SHOULD BE UP TO DATE, IN LINE WITH EXPECTATIONS LISTED IN YOUR ADVANCED PORTFOLIO BOOKLET. THIS INCLUDES AUDIENCE FEEDBACK FOR THIS FILMING STAGE. LATE WORK WILL BE PENALISED VIA THE MARK SCHEME.
ALL MEMBERS OF THE GROUP MUST CONTRIBUTE TO THE BLOG EQUALLY, OR RISK LOSING SUBSTANTIAL MARKS.

Here's a reminder of what you should have completed. There can be no extensions on these elements - if your group hasn't done some of these things, you have lost time management marks, but you MUST still complete them to avoid losing further and more substantial marks INDIVIDUALLY.

Deadline Three: Filming

All raw footage (rushes) to be completed and logged on the Mac network as a ‘rough cut’.  Ensure that this is in the correct folder.

PLUS :  On the group blog by the deadline below:

- Allocation of roles for filming
- Evidence of filming having taken place – still or moving imagery.
- Evaluative discussions about the filming process – problems (and how overcome) , strengths, weaknesses. and improvements made on previous work.
- Particular discussions about new or complex filming techniques that have been used.
- Audience feedback on raw footage – ask for comments about shots – do they have desired effect on Spectator?  Could improvements be made? And so on.

- for the review and poster, research to be conducted and evidenced on the blog about how short films are promoted, with initial decisions about images to use being posted, with proposed images, and links to comparative real promotional material and reviews, where possible

Friday November 6th  4.10pm

PROGRESS NOTED SO FAR, AND ENTERED ON ETRACKR:

Zoe, Amy, Joe, Josh - filming completed. Editing begun. Blogging needs urgent attention to fill gaps from deadline on Friday. All members need to be contributing.

Stephen, Nigel, Ben - filming completed? Blog needs a great deal of work however to avoid losing marks and undermining your filming work.

Ella, Naomi - filming completed? Blog also needs a great deal of work to avoid it letting you down. This work is now late.

Callum, Sofia, Greg - filming completed (with some need for reshoots I believe?). Again, the blog is letting you down. You must all deal with this during this week or risk losing substantial marks.

Once again - look at Level 4 blogs from last year to see what's required (via my blog or here ). Less than this won't get you into level 4! GET BLOGGING OUT OF LESSON TIME - IT'S EXPECTED, AND IT'S THE ONLY WAY!

Sunday 1 November 2015

FILMING NEEDS TO BE EVIDENCED VIA DETAILED AND VARIED BLOG POSTS - ALL BY FRIDAY'S FILMING DEADLINE

It's very disappointing and very surprising that only 1 group has posted anything at all over half term. This is a reminder that in order to succeed in this unit of your A Level, you are expected to post to the blog very frequently, and this is your homework commitment. You should EACH be posting most days, and this includes the intense period of filming that is expected at half term. YOU HAVE ONLY 5 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE FILMING AND BLOGGING DEADLINE FOR THIS PHASE OF THE WORK. LATE AND INSUFFICIENT WORK IS PENALISED VIA THE MARK SCHEME, and most of these marks cannot be redeemed later.
