ARE YOUR 3 PRODUCTS ON YOUR BLOG, AND TITLED 'FINAL FILM'/POSTER/REVIEW?

WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MARKING YOUR COURSEWORK AND SOME GROUPS HAVE STILL NOT POSTED FINAL PRODUCTS TO THE BLOG OR SAVED THEM TO THE COMPLETED FOLDER ON THE NETWORK.
IF THIS IS THE CASE FOR YOUR GROUP, YOUR OWN COURSEWORK RESULT IS IN SERIOUS JEOPARDY.
NO WORK IN COMPLETED FOLDER =  NO MARKS!!
WRONG VERSION ON THE NETWORK? THIS MAY BE THE ONE WE MARK!

AS IN PREVIOUS YEARS, WE ARE ALLOWING A FINAL WINDOW TO IMPROVE ANY ASPECT OF YOUR WORK, BUT -
YOU HAVE ONLY TWO WEEKS TO DO THIS!
NO FURTHER WORK WILL BE ALLOWED, AND FINAL MARKING WILL BEGIN.

THESE GROUPS NEED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF MISSING WORK IMMEDIATELY:

 - ISAAC AND JAMIE - FILM NOT ON BLOG - NEEDS TO BE POSTED WITH ANCILLARY PRODUCTS
 - MAISIE, JACK, MEGAN - CLEARER LABELLING AND GROUPING OF FINAL PRODUCTS NEEDED ON BLOG
- HOLLY, LAURA, HARRY - FINAL PRODUCTS NEED CLEAR LABELLING AND GROUPING ON BLOG. THE REVIEW DOESN'T APPEAR MARKED AS FINAL YET. THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS YOU HAVE MADE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DRAFT.
- BETH, BECKY, SARAH, JOSH - CURRENTLY THERE IS NO FINAL FILM TO MARK ON THE BLOG OR IN THE COMPLETED FOLDER ON THE NETWORK - A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION. ANCILLARY PRODUCTS ALSO NOT LABELLED CLEARLY AS FINAL. AS THINGS STAND, NO PASS GRADES ARE POSSIBLE FOR THIS GROUP FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FILM. WORK IS NEEDED ON THE REVIEW - SEE COMMENTS UNDER THE POST 1st JAN.

HELP WITH RESEARCH INTO FILM POSTERS

There are some useful links in the website links bar to the right.
Consult your booklet for details on what to write about. Also look at the class slides on moodle (Advanced Portfolio, Poster work).

STARTING THE POSTER WORK AND UPCOMING DEADLINES

IT'S VITAL FROM NOW ON TO KEEP TO THE DEADLINES WE'VE SET, ESPECIALLY FOR THE POSTER AND REVIEW WORK. THIS ENSURES THAT YOU COMPLETE YOUR WHOLE PORTFOLIO TO A GOOD STANDARD BY THE FINAL PORTFOLIO DEADLINE AT THE END OF TERM.

Deadline 1 – Initial Research
Each student to post at least 3 to 4 analyses of relevant and real posters
to the blog (average 12 per group). See checklist on what to include.

This posted to the blog by WEDNESDAY NOV 26TH

Deadline 2 – initial planning
Each member of group to create an initial draft for a poster design in Photoshop,
with accompanying analysis of decisions made.  (Cover conventions, layout and MRANG).
Upload any photographic images that are used in your poster design on a separate post
and explain any modifications that are made.

WEDNESDAY December 3rd Midnight

Deadline 3 – planning and final submission
As a group, show at least 3 stages through which your poster(s) have evolved to show process. The expectation is that you will have two posters in development.
Collect Audience feedback during this process.
Justify all your decisions and alterations.

Ensure that there is a post discussing branding (development of logo and titling
and use across both mediums).

Each individual member of the group to post a clearly labeled analysis of conventions, layout and MRANG, as applied to the final poster.
Final Poster clearly posted as final version – upload to blog and into appropriate completed folder on Mac Network.
